FLORALS//Color. Romance. Vibe. Florals carry ALL of the responsibility on a wedding day--they truly communicate so much without saying anything at all. (Polar opposite of me--I often have A LOT to say, just ask my husband😂)This bouquet by @joyunspeakableflowers was perfection and hit it out of the park on all three counts. 💐 Take a stab at it. What does this bouquet say to you? Any guesses on the type of venue we were at? The time of year this wedding was? 🤷‍♀️ I just love me love some mid-day trivia....coffee is wearing off and I need to perk up!
BEHIND THE LENS//I had headshots taken last week with the AWESOME @jenniferloew (this is not one of them, just my dorky attempt at a selfie) and during the entire drive to her studio in Hudson all I could think to myself was: I am so nervous! I hate having my photo taken! I am not photogenic, I hate A,B, and C about me! 🤭 Then it struck me...THIS IS HOW MY CLIENTS MUST FEEL! I mean, I have always heard these things, but this was the first time I think I actually really, REALLY understood the emotions and the nerves. I seriously felt like I wanted to throw up pretty much the entire morning...it was bad. This girl does NOT get in front of the camera. 🤢 I decided as I walked into Jenny’s studio to trust in her like I want people to trust in me. BELIEVE it when she said, "OMG you look amazing!" that she meant it. I mean it when I say it--so I bet she does too. 👊🏻 All this is a very long way to put myself out there and say hello to the new faces around here. (And another hello to those that have been here awhile!) 👋 This is me. I am a mother, wife, artist, go-getter, and a gal with an affinity for lists. Lover of memory-keeping, football, 70s music stations, and all things hygge. I prefer lunching over brunching and like to think of myself as a bit of a historian. (That may be overstating it a bit, but you might want me around if you need the yellow wedge in Trivial Pursuit). I believe that there is never not a good time for ice cream.
